Today is going to be sort of a down day. We’ve run out of underwear so now it’s time to do some laundry.

We think we have our GPS all set for the laundromat and we end up at the Chinese restaurant that Richard was looking for last night. Oh well, not a problem you know me I know how to get everywhere so I set the GPS for the laundromat and we end up at a car wash. Now we’re going to use the instructions that the fellow at the hotel gave us and voilà here we are at a beautiful Speed Queen laundromat. Not the most interesting part of our day, but it was a necessity.

We are going to explore the Delta Works today. It consists of 13 sections forming the largest flood protection system in the world. It is said that this is the eighth one of the world and we certainly believe it. It’s located in the province of Zeeland in the Netherlands. We drove over the Oosterscheldekering, which is the name of the bridge, twice. What a sight! Unfortunately, we were too late to go into the Neeltje Jans to see the history on it so we had to watch it on YouTube. Oh well. You’re bound to miss some things when you don’t know what the heck you’re doing. Richard did manage to find some scampi at the little café close by.

By now we’re ready to drive back to our hotel in Barendrecht and make some plans for dinner.

We managed to find some dinner at an Italian place called DeBeron which is kind of like a Cactus Club at home. We had a couple of sliders and fries with chicken and sauce on them, which was kind of weird but OK. It filled the empty gap. We’re home by 10 and exhausted.
